Poetry Reflections

So ‘Poetry Reflections’ as a concept, had been simmering around in my head for some time. Before finding this perfect expression of what we are about, things like, poetry group, poetry round up, cuppa-n-poem, poetry for the soul (still love this one!) and even poetry karaoke jostled for the title.

The idea being to bring poems and poetry off the page, out of your past, into our present and perhaps someone’s future. This was never going to be a heavy critique group that would tear poems apart and inspect them. It is a, be curious, everyone is welcome group!

Come along and share a poem or just arrive and listen.

We had our first meeting on Saturday, via Zoom, and it wasn’t a disappointment! I was blown away by the diverse selection of poems and the sharing of those poems. Some were poems favoured from childhood, some were reminiscent of particular phases of life, I heard poems I knew and loved and poems that were completely new to me.

I share some of the links to these poems below and once more, thank those that came, for not only giving me an enjoyable afternoon but for expanding my horizons and giving me food for thought!

If you are interested in the next ‘Poetry Reflections’ via Zoom. Please let me know , I will save your space and send the link.

Looking forward to hearing your poem.
