Hi, my name is Angie. I run a small candle making business called Peggyrae. I have been making candles for over 10 years after I made a few candles for a friend’s birthday she loved them and suggested I should make them and sell them and I haven’t stopped since!
I spend countless hours foraging charity shops, flea-markets and the local car boot for interesting vintage vessels which I use when I make my candles. I care deeply about the way I handpour my candles: I use rapeseed & coconut wax, carefully blended essential & fragrance oils, cotton wicks,
so you get an environmentally friendly clean burning candle, with no soot or carcinogens. I personally test each new candle scent to ensure a good scent throw & an even burn with no tunnelling.
Peggyrae stocks a permanent collection of scents which are always available, which include: Wild Bluebell, Lavender Spa, Coffee Mocha, Patchouli, Seasalt & Driftwood , Sandalwood & Black Pepper or Velvet Rose & Oud.
I sell at small festivals, street markets, makers markets & a few local shops & I sell online through my Etsy shop.
